Changes to the Legacy ClinicSolution Product (CS4/CS5/CS6)

Please note that the following change is applicable to customers using ClinicSolution 4, 5 and 6 only.

After reviewing the impact caused by the pandemic, we will further streamline our service portfolio, which means we will implement some crucial changes to your subscription to our ClinicSolution product.

Effective from 8 April 2022 (CS4/5) / 30 April 2022 (CS6), the subscription of our Legacy ClinicSolution product will no longer include free service support. Customers may consider the following options:

  1. Upgrade to our latest CSX product line on or before 31 May 2022 (CS4/5) / 30 June 2022 (CS6) to enjoy the support services1.  We offer the Hosted CSX solution at an introductory price of $7,020/year/ subscription (Regular price: $10,200/year/subscription, 31% off) for the first year2. Alternatively, you may purchase the required hardware based on our specifications.   
  2. Purchase an add-on service support1 option with the subscription at an extra cost of $850/month/subscription or $9,180/year/subscription.
  3. Keep your subscription on using Legacy ClinicSolution for $650/month/subscription or $7,800/year/subscription. 

Our customer service representative will contact your clinic separately for the details, and an notification will sent to your clinic through mail.

Remarks:

  1. Our regular support services cover Monday to Saturday (Public Holiday not included), 09:00 – 18:00, and will be prioritised for Softlink related Software and Hardware, but we will also assist your operations with other IT issues whenever we can.
  2. For Hosted CSX, the regular price at $850/month/subscription.   Introductory price of $7,020/year/subscription applicable for annual prepayment only and valid for the first year only.  Limited offer only.

  1. 微調各報表的格式,令報表更容易閱讀
  2. 針對信件編輯,改善段落行距過闊問題
  3. 提供預覽功能,並允許用戶在預覽時選擇印表機
  1. 升級系統使用的微軟核心程序庫,提升數據庫查詢效率達 30 %

另外,是次更新亦修復了下列問題:

  1. 修正帳單收費帳戶或項目無法顯示特殊符號問題
  2. 修正因病人地址未有分行而導致發票及收據顯示問題
  3. 修正摘要標籤未有顯示帳單總數問題
  4. 修正設定藥物預設服用備註或備註時,無法即時顯示結果問題
  5. 修正因病人備註消息過長,而導致無法顯示病人健康信息問題
  6. 改善處方藥物時載入預設用法的邏輯

Another Windows 10 security patch causing major printing issues 

Microsoft released a Windows emergency fix (KB5005565) on 24th September, which aims to deal with the “PrintNightmare” vulnerability related to the Windows Printing Service (which is used to connect the Windows and the printer hardware). Unfortunately, this patch is reported crashing network printers, USB devices and Bluetooth device connectivity.

Microsoft is aware of the problem and provided a manual fix on the issue. Softlink engineers are happy to assist the clinic in applying the fix.

Furthermore, you can follow the steps below to fix the printing problem:

  1. Open Windows Update via Search or Start Menu.
  2. In the Windows Update screen, click “view update history“.
  3. In the “View update” window, select Uninstall updates to open Control Panel.
  4. Locate the KB5005565 and double-click it to uninstall the update.

Windows 11 Support

Microsoft announced the new Windows 11 OS in June 2021 and is expected to roll out by the end of 2021. Since there are new hardware requirements on the latest OS, based on our evaluation, we advise our customer NOT TO UPGRADE to Windows 11 at this moment. We will keep you updated on the support of Windows 11 OS in due course.

Change of the Service Terms

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Effective 1 Sept 2021, to adhere to the good tradition of providing ‘holistic total solution’ support for our customers, Softlink support team shall NOT provide service support on any hardware or application that is OUTSIDE Clinic Solution and not procured through Softlink.

We have received overwhelming servicing requests in the past few months and over [30%] are issues related to products not related/ supported/ procured by us. Whilst we would continue to adhere to the good tradition of providing ‘holistic total solution’ support for our customers, certain items and products are truly beyond our support and knowledge capacity. This has not only caused expectation issues among our customers but has gradually had an adverse impact on our customer hotline and service level.
We hope to have your understanding that we have come to this decision with an aim for better support for all of our clients, without compromising the commitment to continue to provide ‘total solution’ support.
